Jedi Order



An ancient faction of Force users as old as the republic itself, and maybe a little older. The Jedi order is the most well known grope of force users in the galaxy, With many people knowing who they are, and have an impact on the galaxy felt by many.

The Jedi, as described, are peacekeepers, and though their philosophy preaches good and they mean well. Much of the time they relapse into cycles of Dogmatism and Arrogance. Which was deadly to itself and allowed their enemies to win many times.

Speaking of enemies, they have a lot of them, like, a lot. And for different reasons to.

History:

The Jedi order was founded around the time the republic was founded, as a result of the Force wars on Tython.  For millennia they were isolated, However when they meet the Republic they became friendly allies of each other, though they had ups and downs.

The beginning of Dark times for the Jedi order happened During the second schism , which resulted in the Hundred year darkness against Dark Jedi defectors. After the war these Dark Jedi were banished, however they would arrive on Korraban and found the Sith.

Around 5000 BBY, The Jedi first came into conflict with the Sith During the great Hyperspace war, And though they defeated them, their knowledge and wisdom made sure the Sith popped up again and again to threatened the republic.

Most Jedi didn’t participate During the Mandalorian wars(except Revan’s grope) But did help fight During the Jedi Civil war. During the Dark wars the Jedi experienced the first Jedi Purge, and though they would survive this, the purge scared their order for a long time.

They kept fighting against the Sith over several times until 1000BBY, where they though they defeated them. Over the millennium after that they fall into complacently and became as Dogmatic as Revan’s era of Jedi.

They would face a Second Purge after Darth Sidious formed the empire as a result of the Clone wars they fought in. However after the Galactic empire was defeated they came back from the ashes and started anew on Ossus.

Culture:

The Jedi order were in a way, extreme followers of the Light side of the force. Over thousands of years they changed, their main philosophy was to follow the will of the force. The Jedi viewed the Dark side of the force as a breaking the will of the force, though many other Darksider and force using organisations will argue against it.

Originally, the Jedi order weren’t so bothered on attachments, However over time they became ridged on this, and many times banned the practise. This was changed after the Second purge, for reform and also for practical reasons.

The Jedi aren’t as restrict as you think, Many other things as seen as Immoral were permissible by the order, It wasn’t uncommon to see Jedi drink alcohol and wearing something that wasn’t their typical robes. And never in their history they called for Celibacy at all, despite their view on attachments.

Also up until the Second  Jedi Purge, The Jedi were allies of the Republic, so much so that they believed it was the centre of Civilisation, a fatal mistake for their order, but one so subtle it wasn’t noticed by most.

In ancient times, most people could join the Jedi order, but in modern times usually younger children and infants were taken instead, their were exceptions. But usually most Jedi were raised from birth at the Jedi temple, or other academies.

Darth Tanis

An ancient and obscure Sith Lady/ Sorceress, Darth Tanis was the last Dark lord to fight the Jedi during revan’s time. Though only a leader of a small grope of Sith, Darth Tanis actually did a lot during her time, including repairing the temple on Malachor II. As a Sith sorceress, Darth Tanis was very skilled in Sith Sorcery, skilled enough to rival even her ancestors of the original Sith empire, However her sorcery was very similar to what would be practiced later by the Nightsister, as many Jedi and Sith pointed out. Secretly she was also the biological child of Marth Octavius, Which made her the Niece of Darth Cardinal, as Marth Octavius was His cousin. History: Darth Tanis was born on Korriban during the late Jedi civil war to an unnamed mother, after the dark wars she slowly used the Knowledge of a now abandoned Sith Academy on Korriban as well as knowledge from her own tribe and took the mantle as Dark lady of the Sith without being trained. Darth Vitiate

Born as Tenebrae, Darth Vitiate is a relic of the past. Living since the time of the original Sith empire Vitiate always wanted true immortality so he went to far lengths to achieve that goal. Even by Sith standards he's evil, extremely evil. He drained the life of 80 000 Sith competitors and he would do anything to have power, absolutely anything no matter the cost, good thing he died.
